Global Tungsten & Powders (GTP) says that it plans to discontinue production of its specialized thermal spray powders based on tungsten carbide, molybdenum carbide, and chromium carbide by the end of 2022.
‘GTP always was a niche player in this specific application and the thermal spray powder business segment is no longer viable for GTP to continue,’ the company explained. ‘This concentration on GTP’s core business will benefit our customers for tungsten, tungsten carbide, and ready-to-press powder grades.’
