He succeeds Jörgen Rosengren who has held the position on an interim basis. Spens will also be a member of the group management team of Gränges, the company said.
Spens is currently MD of Gränges Finspång and was previously vice president for sales and marketing in Gränges Europe. Before joining Gränges in 2017, He held roles at Sandvik Materials Technology and consultancy firm BTS.
“It is a privilege and a great honor to take on this role,” said Spens. “We have a good starting position and many opportunities in Europe, but we also have much to prove. I am looking forward to engaging the whole European team to make and execute an ambitious plan for profitable growth.”
