GKN Powder Metallurgy has opened a new headquarters and additive manufacturing (AM) center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA. The company says that the 38,260 ft2 facility will help expand its 3D printing network and extend the scope of in-house powder metallurgy capabilities.

The new facility will house over 80 employees from GKN Hoeganaes, Sinter Metals and GKN Additive. GKN says that it includes a 3,200 ft2 AM customer center, equipped with two direct metal laser sinter (DMLS) printers.
