GKN Automotive opens e-mobility software center

GKN Automotive has partnered with Tata Technologies to set up an e-mobility software engineering center in India.

The new center, based in Bengaluru, will use Tata Technology electric and embedded systems knowledge, the companies said. GKN has also begun a widespread recruitment drive to help develop its e-Drive technologies. Once fully operational it the center will become a GKN Automotive facility. The comany plans to have recruited over 100 engineers and support staff by the end of 2020.

‘Working with Tata Technologies is essential in helping us establish this centre in India and draw upon the world-class software engineering talent there,’ said Liam Butterworth, CEO, GKN Automotive.
