According to the company, the purchase gives its in-house machine shop greater capacity with live tooling with the ability to mill, tap, and drill.
Franklin Bronze partnered with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the purchase and installation of the Doosan Puma tool.
"The machine’s live tooling allows us to turn and mill castings in one setup," said John Mangoyan, general manager. "It will greatly improve productivity and throughput while adding capacity."
