Focus on aluminum AM

Australian metal 3D printing developer Aurora Labs Ltd has formed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swedish industrial company, Gränges AB. 

Aurora says that it has entered the MoU through its subsidiary, A3D Operations Pty Ltd.

As part of the agreement, Gränges will pre-order an Aurora RMP-1 rapid manufacturing printer, and supply its aluminum powder to Aurora. The 3D printing company will also look into research and development projects regarding the use of aluminum in additive manufacturing (AM) as well as the opportunities for the 3D printed metal in the automotive and other industries.
