Kyocera Fineceramics Solutions says that its Degussit oxide ceramics have been supplied in tube form to the International Space Station (ISS).

The tubes are used for oxygen measurement as an extension to the electromagnetic levitator on board. According to the company, the material permits precise oxygen measurement even at high temperatures, due to its ionic conductivity.
