Some £ 1.75 mn has also been invested in expansion and quality improvement projects, including a third quality control laboratory with ICP analytical facilities, blender, and a re-location and expansion of sieving and classifying equipment for special powders for 3D printing, ATL said.
The company also aims to improve its process plant to reduce its scope 2 (indirect) CO2 emissions by over 100 t/yr.
Production capacity for steels, Ni & Cu alloys, using gas atomization, water atomization, and ultra-high-pressure water atomization for metal injection molding (MIM) grades now exceeds 4,000t/yr, according to the ATL, and 2022 turnover was in more than £13 mn.
