Epson Atmix to build new plant

Epson Atmix will invest 3.2 billion yen to triple its current production capacity to 10,000 tons. The company plans to use the new plant to manufacture the powder used to create components for sophisticated mobile devices such as smartphones, automobiles and medical instruments.

The new plant is scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2013. It will be located in the Hachinohe Kita-Inter Industrial Park, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It will cover approximately 3,300 m2 of factory floor space on a 20,500 m2 lot.
