The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) says that its Euro PM2018 Congress & Exhibition continued the success of previous events.

The show, held in October in Bibao, Spain, drew international participants from 51 countries including the Far East, Africa and the Americas. Over 300 oral and poster presentations were held with an attendance of more than 1100 participants. The exhibition featured over 100 booths representing companies from all parts of the PM supply chain, making it the largest Euro PM exhibition to date.

‘The Euro PM2018 represents a turning point of our annual Congress & Exhibition in terms of size with 50% more presentations versus 2017, including 40% metal additive manufacturing contents, and at the same time an enlarged program for the historical PM technologies, which still are the backbone of our industry,’ said Dr Olivier Coube, EPMA technical director.

Work is in progress for next year’s Euro PM2019 Congress & Exhibition, to be held in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 13-16 October 2019, which will also be the EPMA’s 30th Anniversary.
