EPMA AM group appoints Adeline Riou as co-chair

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA)’s EuroAM Sectoral Group, which focuses on the additive manufacturing (AM) sector, has appointed Adeline Riou, Aubert & Duval, as co-chair.

Adeline Riou is the co-author of the EPMA’s Introduction to Additive Manufacturing Technology brochure and Introduction to Hot Isostatic Pressing Technology brochure, published when she was Co-Chair of the EuroHIP group (2009-2015).

’I am very honoured and happy to become co-chair of EuroAM group with Claus-Aumund Kopp, so as to foster our collaborative efforts at European level regarding education, promotion, standardization and research in the field of metal AM, for the benefit of the entire PM sector,’ she said.

 The EuroAM group holds meetings, seminars and workshops on metal AM related subjects are open to both EPMA members and non-member participants. Its main objectives are:

  • To increase awareness of the AM technology, with a special focus on metal powder based products.
  • To enable the benefits of joint action, for example through research programmes, workshops, benchmarking and exchange of knowledge.
  • To improve the understanding of the benefits of metal based AM technology by end users, designers, mechanical engineers, metallurgists and students.
  • To assist in the development of International standards for the AM sector.
