Enthone Names Thom Sharples Project Manager, New Business Development

Enthone, Inc., has appointed Thom Sharples project manager, new business development. Specifically, he will serve in a global role and is responsible for providing commercial support to Enthone's memory disk, connector and related functional coatings market segments.

Sharples began his career in the metal finishing industry more than 40 years ago with Udylite, a plating chemistry company subsequently acquired by Enthone in 1989. During this time, he has held a range of strategic sales and marketing responsibilities, enabling him to establish strong relationships and earn trust with the world’s leading OEM memory disk manufacturers.

“Thom’s vast experience with advanced coatings, applications and end-use markets will be a major asset as we develop and expand into new business areas," said Brian DeWald, Americas Marketing Director – Enthone Performance Coatings.

Sharples is based in the San Francisco Bay Area to ensure voice-of-customer collaborations. He also will continue to retain responsibility for the sales and technical support of Enthone strategic and major accounts in Alberta, Canada.

Sharples earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan.
