Enthone Introduces Supplier Quality Engineering Audit

Enthone has introduced a comprehensive Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Audit to enable the immediate identification of printed circuit boards coated with the company’s patented ENTEK® Organic Solderability Preservatives (OSPs). The Enthone SQE Audit includes OSP verification, process line optimization, and consultation on other PCB final finish options (e.g. immersion tin, silver, organic metal®), based on application requirements.

Specifically, a highly specialized composition analysis of the OSP-coated PCB is employed to confirm that an authentic ENTEK OSP is being used as specified by the OEM. Upon confirmation, a detailed review of the PCB fabricator’s OSP process line, including chemistry (cleaning, topography enhancement, precoat, OSP), equipment, and operating parameters is undertaken with the objective of ensuring PCB performance, yields and quality at the lowest cost of ownership. “The audit enables OEMs, EMS, and PCB fabricators to significantly increase reliability and performance throughout the supply chain, while dramatically reducing rework and rejects," said Mario Orduz, Global Technical Manager – PCB.

According to Enthone, ENTEK is the only finish that is patented and legally registered ® to carry the ENTEK name. To verify your OSP process and request an SQE Review, please email entek@enthone.com or register online to download the brochure.
