Dornisch, who was a fellow of APMI International, procured equipment and developed the curriculum for the powder metallurgy/materials science program at Hennepin Technical College in Minnesota, USA, which ran from 1970-1995 and educated more than 300 students.
He received the MPIF Distinguished Service to Powder Metallurgy in 2001 and the APMI International Fellow Award in 2012.
