Chromalloy Names Carlo Luzzato Its New President

Chromalloy, a leading producer of turbine engine repairs and advanced coatings, recently announced the appointment of Carlo Luzzatto as its new president. Luzzato, a seasoned energy industry business leader, was tapped to lead Chromalloy toward growth and expansion in the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets. “With Carlo’s appointment, Chromalloy is positioned for growth in the global energy and aerospace industries,” said Armand F. Lauzon, Jr. “He will take Chromalloy to the next level.” Luzzatto succeeds Lauzon, who held the leadership position since 2008. Lauzon will become the company’s CEO and is also CEO of Sequa Corporation, Chromalloy’s parent company. Luzzatto most recently served as co-general manager with Ansaldo Energia, a division of the Italian conglomerate Finmeccanica S.p.A., and a leading provider of power plant equipment and power generation services. Prior to joining Ansaldo Energia, Luzzatto was general manager of GE’s RotorFlow unit, within GE Oil and Gas. During his several years at GE he held other senior management positions in the U.S. and Europe, including roles in project management, and strategic mergers and acquisitions in oil and gas industry.Luzzatto began his career at Finmeccanica in Italy, holding a variety of technical, engineering and business leadership positions. He holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Genoa in Genoa, Italy.
