China graphene could grow by almost 100%

China's graphene market could achieve a CAGR of 95% from 2014 to 2020 driven by composites and touch screen end users.

This is according to a new report from RnRMarketResearch.com.

The market is worth currently around 29 million RMB. In 2014, graphene composites markets in China achieved 4.77 million RMB sales, accounting for 16.4% of total graphene sales in China.

There are now over 200 companies either producing graphene or developing applications, says the report. Driven by demand from markets where advanced materials are required, graphene promises to outstrip all current nanomaterials, especially in consumer electronics and energy storage applications. Other markets graphene will impact include aerospace, automotive, coatings and paints, communications, 3D printing, filtration, sensors, solar, oil, and lubricants.
