The song, Ceratizit (This is it), was performed by the company's own rock band Ceratizit Metal Injection, whose members are employees of the tool manufacturer.
One of the founding members of the band is Dr Uwe Schleinkofer, director of research and development at Ceratizit.
According to a company press release, “the musicians have produced timeless rock in an 80s style but with a modern feel, enhanced by modern arrangements and arresting harmonies. And the message of the song doesn't fall short either.”
“If you want to know what Ceratizit actually does, all you need to do is listen to the song - it's all in there!” said Dr Schleinkofer. “However, even if cutting tools are not your thing, I'd still highly recommend having a listen and watching the music video - it's brilliant!”
