ceramitec 2022 focuses on resource efficiency

The organizers of ceramics conference ceramitec 2022, taking place from 21-24 June in Munich, Germany, say that the ceramics conference’s main topic will be ‘resource efficiency’.

“The threat of climate change is driving innovation more than ever before,” a press release said. “That’s why, above all, international exhibitors and visitors at ceramitec 2022 can expect competitive solutions that can protect the environment without sacrificing quality or increasing costs.”

Resource efficiency is an important topic for fine ceramics and refractory ceramics as well as technical ceramics, additive manufacturing (AM) and powder metallurgy, it added.

The conference will reportedly include presentations from the Institute for Application Technology Powder Metallurgy and Ceramics focusing on how metallic and ceramic materials can be produced using powder technology. The speakers will explain AM in connection with hard metals, from material development to component manufacturing including joining technology. Exhibitors will also show the development, production and use of composite materials, and their various applications in lightweight construction, e-mobility and other future technologies.

“Experts in raw materials, systems, machines, processes, products and above all users from all kinds of industries will meet for intensive discussions,” said Dr Robert Schönberger, exhibition director at ceramitec.
