The PIM (powder injection moulding) industry has estimated sales of over US$1 billion which could possibly double in a span of five years. The objective of the conference is to explore innovations and latest accomplishments in the areas of part design, tooling, moulding, debinding, and sintering of PIM parts. The conference will also focus on the developments in PIM processing of different materials, including metals and alloys, ceramics, and hardmaterials.
The conference is sponsored by the Metal Injection Moulding Association, a trade association of the Metal Powder Industries Federation, and its affiliate APMI International. MIM2012 is targeted at product designers, engineers, consumers, manufacturers, researchers, educators, and students.
The deadline for abstract submission is 30 September 2011. Submissions covering processing, materials and applications will be considered.
