This follows an infill drilling programme.The resource is now estimated at 43 million tonnes of ore, containing more than 80 000 tonnes of tin at a cut-off grade of 0.2%. Higher grade parts of the ore body are estimated to contain 38 000 tonnes of recoverable tin. Venture’s current plans call for production from those areas at a rate of 3000 tonnes per year, starting in 2013.In a statement the company said: “The combined resources at Mt Lindsay now extend over 39km, with a further 34km still to be explored. The mineralised ore outcrops at the surface in areas 15-20m wide, making the resource very amenable to open-cast mining.” Venture currently has six exploration rigs in the area.
