Additive manufacturing (AM) specialist Arcam says that it now offers 3D printing with cobalt-chromium (CoCr) using its Arcam Q10plus machine.
CoCr is, together with titanium, is the main material used in the orthopedic industry and is also commonly used in the aerospace industry, the company says. Arcam's CoCr process can provide parts with higher resolution, production level productivity and improved material properties.
Arcam will be showcasing the new technology as well as its electron beam melting (EBM) technology at the Formnext show, taking place from 15– 18 November in Frankfurt, Germany.
