AMUG announces technical competition winners

The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) has announced the winners of its 2022 Technical Competition.

According to the group, there were 32 entries for the competition.

The first-ever Members Choice award went to a metal 3D printed bathroom faucet developed by Jung Kyu Im and Daniel Goncalves of Customer Prototypes, while winning first place in the Advanced Concepts category went to a project entitled “metal 3d printing raises the bar for the army’s jointless hull program” led by Nanci Hardwick of MELD Manufacturing. In the Advanced Finishing category, the judges selected “Mars Attacks,” submitted by Bill Braune of Dinsmore Inc as the first-place entry.
