AMT Director selected for NAMII committee

The committee is tasked with several tasks, including developing criteria for selecting the projects that NAMII would support. The committee also will develop the process of calling for and discovering new projects, as well as working to support the NAMII director.

“It is an honour to receive a position on the executive committee and to be recognised by a group of my peers within the additive community,” Shinbara stated. “It will be challenging, as this has some unprecedented and significant private-public partnership elements. This is a great opportunity to be a steward of technology development and commercialisation in order to better support the US manufacturing industry.”

“We see technology centres like NAMII being a key component in strengthening US manufacturing from a collaborative standpoint,” said Douglas K. Woods, president, AMT. “As outlined in AMT’s Manufacturing Mandate, this is exactly the kind of focus on innovation and rapid commercialization of technologies that can drive our industry for decades to come."
