Optomec says that it has refurbished over 10 million gas turbine blades using its 3D printers.
The company says that it has metal additive repair machines installed at a range of gas turbine OEMs in both the aviation and energy market using directed energy deposition (DED) technology. Common production applications include the repair of turbine blade tips, seals and wear surfaces, compressor blades, including titanium alloys, vanes, shrouds and other high value components.
