AM conference programme finalised

The programme will begin with Todd Grimm of T.A. Grimm & Associates, presenting the keynote address: “Additive Tech – Challenges and Opportunities in the Real World”. Day 2’s keynote address will be presented by Phill Dickens, professor of manufacturing technology at Loughborough University, and is entitled “Developments of Additive Manufacturing and Its Future”.  

Other speakers include:  Paul Doe, lead engineer at Prodrive BMW Mini Team; Sean Horning, project engineer, Burton Snowboards; Stuart Burns, technical director, Rotite Technologies; Anthony Reeves, lead engineer, GlaxoSmithKline; and Dan Johns, process & technologies engineer, Bloodhound SSC.  

This year’s event will also feature a jewellery session covering additive manufacturing developments with gold. Within this conference session speakers include Joerg Fischer-Buehner, Legor Group SpA; Mark Bloomfield, Electrobloom; Luke Orford, Grant Macdonald; Silvia Weidenbach, Weidenbach; and Lena Thorsson from Cookson Precious Metals Ltd.  

The conference is free of charge to attend and takes place 25-26 September 2012 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.
