Aluminum Anodizing Council Issues Call for Posters for 2012 Conference

The Aluminum Anodizers Council has issued the Call for Posters for students to present their work at the 21st Annual International Anodizing Conference, which will be co-located with the Aluminum Association’s Annual Meeting and the Aluminum Extruders Council’s Extrusion Symposium during Aluminum Week. The event is scheduled for Oct. 15-18 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel in Chicago, Ill.The Poster Session provides a forum where students may present their research in surface science, metallurgy, electrochemical finishing, metal forming, and other relevant technologies to an interested audience of industry professionals. The goal is to present academic and industrial-related research and development in the field of metal surface science and technology, as well as primary aluminum production and aluminum extrusion.“Aluminum Week provides a great opportunity for students to present their work to a variety of industry professionals in anodizing, extrusion, and processing, as well as connect with professionals in the aluminum industry,” said Greg Rajsky, president of the AAC.A panel designated by the organizers will judge the posters, and prizes will be awarded to the best poster presentations. Winners will be announced at the end of the general session on the last day of the conference on Oct. 17, 2012.Interested students should submit a 200-word abstract of their poster presentation by July 18, 2012.
