Industrial gases company Air Products has earned a score of 100% on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a US benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
‘We are very pleased to have earned a perfect score on the CEI. Air Products places great importance on having a diverse workforce and a work environment that is inclusive and respectful,’ said Jennifer Grant, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Air Products.
Air Products also recently published new Sustainability goals for 2020, with the aim to become the world’s most diverse and inclusive industrial gas company.
In all, CEI rated 1,043 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
