3D printing postdoc available

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in the US says that it has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Staff Member. 

US citizenship is reportedly not required for this position.

The job role will involve conducting research aimed at improving part-scale modeling of metal-based additive manufacturing (AM) processes. The canditate will develop and implement numerical methods for continuum mechanics to address fabrication and performance of innovative designs. This position is in the Computational Engineering Division (CED), within the Engineering Directorate.

This is a one year postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of extension to a maximum of three years. Eligible candidates shoukd be recent PhDs within five years of the month of the degree award at time of hire date.
