3D printing MoU

3D printing companies Sigma Labs and Materialise NV have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to research the integration of the companies’ technologies. The aim is to create integrated 3D printing system with improved control technology and in-situ process monitoring. Sigma and Materialise want to establish a formal joint marketing collaboration or licensing agreement to make the system. ‘This agreement could represent an important step forward for the metal AM industry, including a solution for volume manufacturing that includes machine validation, process validation and in-process quality validation in production,’ said John Rice, CEO of Sigma.
