3D printers for US armed forces

Australia-based AML3D Limited has signed an agreement with Phillips Corporation for the latter to sell its Arcemy large scale metal 3D printers to the US armed forces.

The companies will make use of Phillips’ long-standing relationships with the US Department of Defence for 18 months, according to AML3D.

“I am excited by this important announcement, particularly against the backdrop of the recently announced AUKUS [security pact between Australia, the UK and the US to aid Australia in acquiring nuclear-powered submarines],” said AML3D CEO Ryan Millar. “Driving adoption of our ARCEMY technology across the US Navy, Airforce, and Army is a key scale-up objective for AML3D.”
