The Plansee Group has invested €11 million in a new training center which it says can train up to 240 apprentices in six technical apprenticeships.

The facility, based in Reutte, Austria has an area of 2,700 m2 with equipment set up according to the main areas of training: manual work, turning, milling, grinding and CNC-controlled machines. Plansee has also invested in new equipment for 3D printing and grinding, the company said.

‘With more space, a modern machinery park and new technologies, we are creating the conditions to be able to offer our apprentices top-level training in the future,’ said Karlheinz Wex, board spokesman.

According to Plansee, after successfully completing their apprenticeship, young skilled workers are offered permanent employment.
