JPMA 2016 annual report

The annual report of the Japan Powder Metallurgy Association for 2016 provides a comprehensive view of developments in the Japanese PM industry together with a useful summary for the rest of Asia.

In 2016, the Japan Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA) celebrated its 60th anniversary. Its membership has grown to 70, of whom 36 are manufacturers of metal powders, PM products or PM equipment. JPMA's annual report, published at the end of May, gives detailed statistics for the Japanese PM industry together with news of activities of the membership. It also includes a listing of the various boards and committees and their chairmen. Events of the previous year together with prizes and awards are also reported. In 2016, Mr Isamu Kikuchi, chairman of Porite Corporation became president, succeeding Mr Mamoru Moritani. Mr Kikuchi also continues as president of the Asian Powder Metallurgy Association (APMA). Mr Takashi Saito continues as Executive Director of JPMA.
