At its 2017 Annual Congress and Exhibition in Milan, Italy, the EPMA’s Additive Manufacturing Sectoral Group celebrated the fast-growing success of the new industry by a well-attended Open Meeting.
Flattering EuroHM, the Hard Materials Group, the meeting’s format closely followed that of its older sibling. One such tradition is a welcome to all those attending from joint chairmen Claus Armand-Kopp and Rolf Carlström.
First on the agenda involved Olivier Coube, erudite technical director of the European Powder Metallurgy Association, with his update on AM-related EPMA activities. Previous EuroAM meeting for 20 members had been at MTC on 17 May 2017, preceding a two-day EPMA Metal AM Seminar at the same venue.
